About:
This forest resides on the traditional and un-ceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin. This forest was planted in fall 2024 at Vincent Massey Park, owned by the National Capital Commission. The site was planted with volunteers from various community and corporate groups in partnership with Tree Canada’s National Tree Day event. Our Vincent Massey Park location holds the FCF record for most trees and shrubs planted in a single day at 650! The forest is planted with a variety of native trees that make up the Great Lakes – St. Lawrence forest type.
