We are happy to be participating in 2 events on this upcoming National Tree Day (Wednesday, September 20, 2023). In our role as alternate Forestry Specialist for Tree Canada for the eastern Ontario region, we are helping guide their sold-out event at Insmill Park in Kanata (see details at this link). Given that the event has sold out, and we thought it would be great to have an event in the east end, we are hosting a planting and tree care event at our Base of Operations as well.
If you would like to attend the east-end event, please send a note to comms@foretcapitaleforest.ca with the subject National Tree Day 2023 to let us know you will be joining us. Please find additional details below regarding this event.
Event Date: September 20th, 2023
Event Time: Please arrive at 9:45 am for a 10:00 am start time. The event will run until 12:00 pm.
Event Location: Forêt Capitale Forest Base of Operations (2391 Pépin Ct, Gloucester)
Parking: Available on-site past the red barn (#1 on this linked map).
Meeting Location: Under the pavilion next to the Red Barn (#2 on this linked map).
After a short demonstration of proper planting techniques, we will be planting trees and shrubs in various locations at our Base of Operations. You will also get an opportunity to see our already planted food-bearing trees, our lawn conversion tree guilds, and our Tiny Forest.
