Hog’s Back Park

About:

This forest resides on the traditional and un-ceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin. This forest was planted in fall 2021, spring 2022, fall 2023, and fall 2024 to expand forest cover in Hog’s Back Park, owned by the National Capital Commission. This site marked our first planting location other than the Forêt Capitale Forest Base of Operations. The forest is planted with a variety of native tree species present in the nearby forest.
