Have you ever wanted to give a meaningful gift that supports urban forests in the National Capital Region? As part of our Forest of Kin program, you can symbolically care for a tree planted with us in Ottawa or Gatineau and support the work of Forêt Capitale Forest! The name Forest of Kin reflects the relationship with trees we try to encourage – we should care for trees as if they are family. When you make a donation through the Forest of Kin program, you are supporting our mission, which includes the ability to nurture the trees and forests we plant – our kin. The value of your donation will be equivalent to fostering at least one year of care for a tree planted and cared for by Forêt Capitale Forest. You can choose to symbolically care for as many trees as you wish to add to your Forest of Kin! As a bonus, you will also be emailed a unique story of a native tree species that we plant right here in the National Capital Region.

Note: our suggested donation starts at the symbolic fostering of one tree at $15, which is the equivalent amount required for approximately one year of care.
