This event is open to the public and suitable for new volunteers and beginner urban forest stewards.
Essential tree care of the trees planted at Lac Leamy Park is needed! We will be hosting a tree care event at Lac Leamy Park on Tuesday, May 6th from 11am-12pm.
To kick off the 2025 growing season, the tree care activities will consist of removing tree guards and opening the site while learning about proper tree care techniques! Learn more about urban forest stewardship!
Meeting Location: Lac Leamy Planting Site
Parking: NCC Parking Lot – Leamy Lake Park
Please make sure to:
- Wear clothes that you find easy to move in and closed-toed shoes.
- Bring drinking water, as there is no drinking water source on site.
- Dress according to the weather.
- Optional: Your favourite gardening gloves. FCF will provide gloves if you don’t have any.
