Essential tree care of the Lac Leamy Park site planted in September 2023 is needed! We will be hosting a tree care event at the Lac Leamy site on Friday, November 8th from 9am-11am.
The tree care activities will consist of placing tree guards on all trees at the site! Placing trees guards on trees is an essential stewardship task to prevent small mammals from chewing the bark of trees throughout winter.
Meeting Location: Lac Leamy Planting Site
Parking: NCC Parking Lot – Leamy Lake Park
Please make sure to:
- Wear clothes that you find easy to move in and closed-toed shoes
- Bring drinking water, as there is no drinking water source on site.
- Dress according to the weather.
