Join us for a free, in-person event at our Base of Operations on Tuesday, July 29th from 4pm-6pm! We’ll start with a guided tour of our interactive walking path, where you’ll learn more about our site and its unique features. After the tour, we’ll dive into a hands-on workshop focused on how to care for a Tiny Forest — perfect for anyone interested in urban forest stewardship or looking to learn more about the Miyawaki Method of afforestation.
FCF will bring any supplies needed for this event.
Meeting Location: At the Pavilion beside the Just Food Community Farm parking lot.
Parking: Free parking available at the Just Food Community Farm parking lot.
Please make sure to:
- Wear clothes that you find easy to move in.
- Bring drinking water, as there is no drinking water source on site.
- Bring sunscreen and a hat!
- Optional: Your favourite gardening gloves. FCF will provide gloves if you don’t have any.
*Due to the abundance of tall grass and weeds, we highly recommend wearing long pants and closed-toed footwear.
If you have any questions, please contact us at comms@foretcapitaleforest.ca. We look forward to seeing you there!
