This event is open to the public and suitable for new volunteers and beginner urban forest stewards.
Help us get ready for a busy fall planting season! Join us for a hands-on morning of re-potting young trees at our Base of Operations. These trees will soon be planted in communities across the region — but first, they need a little extra care to help them grow strong and healthy!
This is a great opportunity to support urban greening efforts, learn a bit about nursery care, and spend some time outside with the FCF team.
All tools and materials will be provided. No prior experience is needed — just come dressed to get your hands dirty!
Meeting Location: FCF Base of Operations. We’ll be meeting in front of the brown shed, located beside the two greenhouses. Please refer to the exact Google Maps pin linked above for directions.
Parking: Free parking available at the Just Food Community Farm parking lot.
Please make sure to:
- Wear clothes that you find easy to move in and closed-toed shoes.
- Bring drinking water, as there is no drinking water source on site.
- Dress according to the weather (we always recommend wearing long pants)
- Optional: Bring your favourite gardening gloves. FCF will provide gloves if you don’t have any.
If you have any questions, please contact us at comms@foretcapitaleforest.ca. We look forward to seeing you there!
