This forest resides on the traditional and un-ceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin. This forest was planted in fall 2025 as part of Tree Canada’s National Tree Day event in Ottawa. The forest was planted with a variety of native broadleaf and conifer species that make up the Great Lakes – St. Lawrence forest type.
