Join our Core Volunteer Crew and be part of a dedicated team helping trees grow, thrive, and transform our city’s green spaces. Whether you’re passionate about tree care, watering, nursery work, or event support, there’s a place for you!
How It Works
Crew members commit to a set schedule based on their availability, typically for a 4–8 week period. Whether you can give a few hours a month or take on a leadership role, we welcome all levels of commitment!

Once we receive your application, we’ll reach out to discuss the next steps. Depending on your chosen role, you may need to complete a background check and attend training sessions with our team.

Stewardship Crew
Our Stewardship Crew helps ensure that trees thrive in their new homes! Volunteers support tree care and planting events by assisting with setup, guiding volunteers, and ensuring trees receive proper care. With training, Stewardship Crew members can also lead tree care events, sharing their knowledge with new volunteers and fostering a community of urban forest stewards.
Watering Crew
Trees need consistent care, especially in the hot summer months! Watering Crew members receive training and take on independent watering tasks at our Base of Operations and planting sites. This is a great way to contribute on a flexible schedule while ensuring trees get the hydration they need to thrive.
Nursery and Farm Crew
Before trees make their way into the city, they need care at our Base of Operations. Nursery & Farm Crew members help nurture young trees by watering, weeding, and mulching. This team can also support infrastructure projects, such as setting up shade structures, organizing materials, and making improvements to our growing space.
Fundraiser Event Crew
Support urban forests by helping us grow our impact! Our Fundraiser Event Crew plays a key role in making our fundraising initiatives successful. Volunteers help with planning, coordinating, promoting, and providing day-of support for our fundraiser events. Whether you have experience in fundraising, marketing, event planning, or just a passion for bringing people together for a great cause, we’d love to have you on board!
