SUMMARY:Storytelling in Nature Series with Gail Anglin
DESCRIPTION:\nAbout the Storytelling in Nature Series\n\n\n\nThe Storytelli
ng in Nature events offer a chance to hear storytellers from all backgroun
ds tell stories about Nature in Nature. Many cultures have traditions of o
ral storytelling. We experience stories differently when they are animated
\, told through an experienced storyteller\, and when we experience them i
n an outdoor\, group setting. Each Storytelling in Nature event has an act
ivity\, somewhat related to the theme of the story.&nbsp\; We hope partici
pants experience these stories in ways that deepen their appreciation of c
ommunity and of our natural environment.\n\n\n\nAbout our Storyteller\n\n\
n\nFor our October 5th event\, we are pleased to welcome Gail Anglin as ou
r storyteller.&nbsp\; Gail Anglin’s storytelling has delighted listeners
of all ages in the National Capital region for many years. Her compelling
voice creates personalities for the characters she describes as she draws
audiences into magical worlds that are sometimes dark but more often humo
urous. Gail is Co-President of Ottawa StoryTellers.\n\n\n\nAbout the Event
\n\n\n\nIn this autumn season\, many beings are readying for winter.&nbsp\
; Migratory birds have undertaken their seasonal journeys\, flying to loca
tions where they can access to crucial resources.&nbsp\; Gail’s story wi
ll touch upon this theme of movement and migration\, and tell of a magical
  flight\, or perhaps a young man’s flight of fantasy.\n\n\n\nWe follow t
he story\, with some snacks and an educational experience\, and learn abou
t and listen for several birds that are seen regularly along the walking p
ath close to the Storytelling circle.\n\n\n\nOur Supporters\n\n\n\nThis ev
ent is supported by several organizations\, including Forest Therapy Ottaw
a\, Bird Friendly Ottawa\, Nanabush Food Forests\, and Forêt Capitale For
est.&nbsp\; We also thank the City of Ottawa\, through their CEPGP program
\, have directly help support this event.\n\n\n\nThis is a free event.&nbs
p\;&nbsp\;There will be a donation jar and guests are welcomed to offer do
nations to help support future storytelling events.&nbsp\; Please RSVP for
this event as more details will be sent just ahead of the event.&nbsp\; I
n the event of rainy or challenging weather\, we will still plan to procee
 d in a sheltered area.\n\n\n\n\nRSVP Here\n\n
