SUMMARY:Stewardship Workshop - Hog's Back Park
DESCRIPTION:\nAre you looking to build real-world skills in tree care and e
 nvironmental stewardship?\n\n\n\nThis free\, hands-on stewardship workshop
  at FCF's Hog's Back Park Planting Site will walk you through the key acti
 ons used to support newly planted trees in your community. You’ll learn 
 practical techniques like proper watering and soil moisture assessment\, r
 emoving competing vegetation\, and identifying the signs of stress\, pests
 \, and damage. We’ll also cover how to report issues and contribute to F
 CF’s ongoing monitoring efforts.\n\n\n\nNo tools or prior experience req
 uired - just come ready to learn!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeeting Location:\n\n\n
 \n\nWe will be meeting at FCF's Hog's Back Park Planting Site\, along the 
 Rideau River Eastern Pathway near Hog's Back Road. \n\n\n\n\nParking:\n\n\
 n\n\nFree parking can be found at the Hog's Back Parking Lot on Hog's Back
  Road.\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Wear:\n\n\n\n\n\nClose-toed shoes\n\n\n\nWeather-a
 ppropriate clothing \n\n\n\nWe recommend wearing long pants as we are work
 ing in long grass\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\n\n\n\n\nDrinking water\n\n\
 n\nSunscreen\n\n\n\nOptional: your favourite pair of gardening gloves. We 
 will provide gloves if you don't have any.\n\n\n\n\nAny other required equ
 ipment will be provided.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWeather PolicyEvents are held rain
  or shine\, so we encourage participants to dress for the weather. If cond
