SUMMARY:Stewardship Workshop - Base of Operations
DESCRIPTION:\nAre you looking to build real-world skills in tree care and e
 nvironmental stewardship?\n\n\n\nThis free\, hands-on stewardship workshop
  at FCF's Base of Operations will walk you through the key actions used to
  support newly planted trees in your community. You’ll learn practical t
 echniques like proper watering and soil moisture assessment\, removing com
 peting vegetation\, and identifying the signs of stress\, pests\, and dama
 ge. We’ll also cover how to report issues and contribute to FCF’s ongo
 ing monitoring efforts.\n\n\n\nNo tools or prior experience required - jus
 t come ready to learn!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeeting Location:\n\n\n\n\nWe will
  be meeting at FCF's Base of Operations at the Just Food Community Farm\, 
 located in Blackburn Hamlet.\n\n\n\n\nParking:\n\n\n\n\nThere is free park
 ing at the Just Food Community Farm\, past the red barn.\n\n\n\n\nWhat to 
 Wear:\n\n\n\n\n\nClose-toed shoes\n\n\n\nWeather-appropriate clothing \n\n
 \n\nWe recommend wearing long pants as we are working in long grass\n\n\n\
 n\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\n\n\n\n\nDrinking water\n\n\n\nSunscreen\n\n\n\nOpti
 onal: your favourite pair of gardening gloves. We will provide gloves if y
 ou don't have any.\n\n\n\n\nAny other required equipment will be provided.

 icipants to dress for the weather. If conditions become unsafe\, we will n
